Sowing method
  • Sowing Time: May-June, October-November and January-February
  • Soil Well drained and fertile soil is desirable, but it can grow in different types of soil
  • Seed Rate:150-200 gm/hac
  • Spacing:  45 x 60 cm. for bushy type.60 x 75cm.for spreading type
  • Fertilizer Dos : At the time of land preparation 15-20 T/ha FYM. Should be applied. Then before transplanting
  • Apply 50kg ., N: 50kg, P2O5: 50kg .K2O/ha and make light ridges and transplant the plant on ridge .Then apply 50kg. N/ha at two equal split doses ,one at 30 days after transplanting and Another at 50 days after transplanting.
  • Irrigation :For successful brinjal crop about 100-110cm.of irrigation is needed . So frequency of irrigation Should be decided according to soil type.
